Tilt Shift Helicotper Rescue

I love tilt-shift photos, me. I've even taken a few. But this is fabulous... Like "Thomas the Tank Engine" meets "Tellietubbies".

The people action makes it. I've watched it twice and it makes me homesick although its Sydney. How many hows did that take to render I wonder.

I've thought about how this was done a bit... Because it's time lapse, all the shots are static, so there's no panning or tracking. That should mean (and I'm speaking entirely theoretically here!) that each shot (rather than frame) needs a potatoshop-style mask that blurs everything outside of a really narrow window. I'm not much chop on the technical side here - "I don't know much about animation, but I know what I like. Some of the work I've had done is at http://tinyurl.com/azz8nl

I'd love to hear your thoughts about the vid and the website more generally (at http://www4.transport.vic.gov.au/vtp/ ).

The fly through is great using Google Earth.

Can't improve the website anymore as its easy to navigate, continually updated and plain and simple information. Enjoyed watching the videos of talking suits but the projects look impressive and much needed.

Car pooling is very popular here and promoted well. I'll get back to you with some links or info if you like for ideas.

Freight. Trucks on trains is popular here between countries. The drivers sit in their own carriage and off the road. Drive on/off the train.

Got me thinking now as the infrastructure here is amazing and constantly upgraded.
